Lucie Havlasek Tatarova, PhD. earned a Masters degree of the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague, Czech Republic (atelier of Adela Matasova).
During her studies, Lucie Tatarova was influenced by cooperation with printmaker Mikolas Axmann and sculptor Kurt Gebauer.
She obtained the scholarships in l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg (France), then in Academies of Fine Arts in Rome (Italy) and in Sevilla (Spain).
She received a Fulbright scholarship to study at the Pratt Institute in New York in 1998-99, where she focused on figural art and the architecture of the Big Apple.
Since 2002 she has been teaching art at the Charles University in Prague. In 2014 she obtained a PhD. title for her work "The Ornament in Art, Nature and Science". Currently, she is working and living in France and Czech Republic.
